Have you herd the huge story of how the Greeks conquered the Trojans? It all started when a prince named Paris ran away with Helen who was the most beautiful woman in the hole wide world. Once Menelaus got back to Sparta and noticed that his wife Helen was gone he was furious. So the war began! The Trojans were in great victory once they knew they had won. But that's exactly what the Greeks wanted the Trojans to think. The war was not over yet.
Odysseus, the king of Ithaca knew he had to make a plan so the Greeks could win the war. The plan had to be very strong because Troy's walls were extremely tall. So Odysseus decided that the Greeks would have to build something that would be very unexpected to the Trojans. They only had 12 days to build. Day after day the Greeks were hard working until the 12th day came. In result of their hard work came a humongous horse that could hold over hundreds to thousands of people. All of the Greek soldiers climbed inside the horse. It was time to bring the horse and everyone in it to Troy.
King Priam, the king of Troy found the amazing Trojan Horse and believed it was a gift from gods. Paris who was King Priam's son thought that the horse was a little suspicious and tried to warn his father. King Priam believed that it was from the gods so strongly, that he thought that what Paris said was nonsense. So King Priam brought the Trojan horse inside Troy. Odysseus plan was working exactly the way he wanted it to. Everyone was celebrating their victory in troy by throwing partys and parades thinking that they had won the war. As everyone celebrated the Trojan horse soon entered Troy.
The Greeks stayed hidden inside the horse until dawn fell and everyone was asleep. One by one the Greek soldiers carefully and quietly jumped out of the horse and into the grounds of Troy. Soon enough everyone was running around screaming as the Greeks attacked Troy and everyone inside it. Houses were burnt to the ground and innocent people were attacked by the Greeks. Almost no one made it out of Troy alive except for the Greeks who were now in their victory. A
